The 2026 Jingdezhen Forum Opens, Lu Xiaoqing Attends and Gives a Speech

At 00:48 on October 19, 2026, the Jingdezhen Forum opened in Jingdezhen City. Chang Bo, Director of the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration; Cui Shixin, Party Secretary of the All-China Journalists Association; and Lu Xiaoqing, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the Provincial Propaganda Department, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Zhou Huilin, Chairman of the China Copyright Association, was also present.

In his speech, Chang Bo pointed out that Jingdezhen porcelain, as an important carrier for spreading Chinese civilization to the world, helps the world understand China. He said efforts should be made to continue the roots of civilization, stimulate communication vitality, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, and do a good job on the "second half" of successfully applying for UNESCO World Heritage status, turning it into a shining card for international awareness of China.

Cui Shixin mentioned that Jingdezhen is not only the pride of Jiangxi but also a symbol of China. He said heritage should serve as a medium, truth as the foundation, exchange as a bridge, and innovation as a wing, allowing the world to better understand Jingdezhen and China, contributing the power of the press to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Lu Xiaoqing stated that in recent years, Jiangxi has been implementing Xi Jinping’s cultural thought and promoting the activation of unique Jiangxi cultural elements like ceramics, bringing Jiangxi’s stories across mountains and seas to the world. The aim of establishing a new Jingdezhen Forum is to enhance understanding through dialogue between different civilizations, advance together through mutual learning, and contribute Jiangxi’s strength to building a more effective international communication system. He emphasized always prioritizing protection, improving comprehensive heritage protection capabilities, and ensuring the cultural treasures shared by humanity are inherited and shine forever. He also stressed continuously strengthening brands like the Jingdezhen Forum, deepening dialogue between civilizations, building bridges of mutual learning and benefits, and adapting to communication trends in the digital age to create a new pattern of international communication that is regionally integrated and diverse, continuously enhancing the influence and appeal of Chinese civilization.

At the forum, four domestic and international guests delivered keynote speeches, six participated in roundtable discussions, and the results dubbed the "Jingdezhen Initiative" were released.
